I got a Huglight for Christmas. Thought I'd just report that it works great for my cross stitching in the evenings and I'm sure it will also work for my hand quilting (but haven't tried it yet). I have an Ott Light, but my table is on the wrong side of my couch, and my hand shades my work; and it's not portable, so if I want to work in the other room, I have to move it. This little Huglight works great. Provides good light just where I want it. It has three settings for intensity and beam.

I'm going to give this a try and see if it helps at the sewing machine with dark fabric and thread.

Need to get one ASAP!

I just ordered one...if it works out as well as described, I am going to get another one as a spare.
