I have become a starch snob!
A men's store gave me a bottle of this when I picked up my SIL's new shirts and I will never go back to the other brands. The main ingredient is corn starch but it sure isn't like the homemade version I've used.

Cool! The reviews on Amazon are very positive, and the price seems quite reasonable. Think I'll be ordering some!

I am a starch addict... I will have to give this a try. Thanks!
It isn't very expensive but by the time I added shipping it will be too pricey for me. Glad you found a nice starch.
It was free shipping at Amazon on my order. I ordered the 3 bottle pack.
I think I will be trying this - I am also going to try contacting them as they aren't too awfully far from me!
I have a question, would the corn starch in the starch attract bugs? I remember reading somewhere to only use fabric sizing on your fabric stash as the regular starch attracts bugs. This sounds really good but I am a little apprenhensive. Anyone have any info on that?
Bugs have to be in your house to be attracted to starch fabric. If you don't have a bug problem I don't see how starch will cause one.
Never thought of checking Amazon, thanks!
Thanks ~ I ordered some to try :)

Thanks for sharing the link. Added to favorites.

Just ordered some. Thanks for the info and site.

Thanks for posting. Sounds great!

Yes corn starch is food for bugs!! I live in Florida and we always have to be careful of attracting bugs. They like the nice weather the same as we do!! I will only use starch if I'm going to complete the project soon and then wash the finished quilt. I won't starch fabric and then put it on the shelf. We have some seriously BIG bugs here in Florida!! LOL!!!
I never starch my new fabrics. I do a wash, dry and fold and then starch them as I'm pressing them for cutting. We have bugs in Nevada too, LOL!
I wouldn't waste my time starching fabric before using it, it would have to be pressed again to get the crease wrinkles out.
OK - I ordered some and got it. Just Curious - What is everyones opinion? I like the starch but hate the bottle it is in, I think I may have to put it into one of my other bottles.
I ordered another 3 bottles. I mixed half with Best Press in a good spray bottle. I have gourmet starch. LOL
Bella Boo - I emailed them and asked her about putting it into gallon jugs (like ME Best Press) for refills. She said that she is working on that. Apparently it is a home based business with for now just Tammy at the helm. They are very close to us and her warehouse where she stores the product is right near where I go for a monthly Sit N Sew. I invited her to come and visit us when she has the gallons ready and maybe it will open up a new market for her. Right now it is only available through Amazon.
So long story short - Thanks for sharing this with us and recommending, I too love the starch and put it into one of my Mary Ellen's bottles. This give me a lot more bang for my buck! |
Great! The starch is super nice and it's a home based business. I will definitely keep buying this starch.

Thank you for the info. I like to iron as well. I ordered the starch and the shaving cream for my husband. You should be a cut for advertising the items.
