I recently subscribed to their brand new magazine and then checked out their website. I love their videos on You Tube. I saw one on making a Dresden Plate so easily!!! I then ordered a charm pack from them along with the Dresden tool she used. Check it out....

I agree, the videos are great. Easy to follow. I love the email they send when you order something about how it left their factory. Very clever!

If I have a problem and know Jenny has a video on it, I go to it. She has made so many beginners more comfortable with beginning quilting.

Another YEAH for Jenny and MSQ, and the great tutorials. Can't wait to get the new magazine.....I understand there will be no ads in it........only instructions and ideas. YEAH again!

Yes, they certainly are great!

I've been using this method since i learned about it way back in the "Simply Quilts" days... it takes longer to cut out the wedges than to make the "plate"....i LOVE this. You can also do the same technique on the bottom of the blades and have an open plate with points around the center - no center circle needed. Gotta love it.

I hope every one got the chance to read the article in The Wall Street Journal, about Jenny and her family. I did order the magazine "Block" today.

I subscribed and found out it will go in the mail by the end of this month, can't wait to get my hands on it. My only magazine I subscribe to or will buy.

I ordered the magazine also. Love the videos, they are very helpful. & easy to understand !!

If you cut 5" squares in half and do the same sewing across the top edge, turn and press. Sew the blades all together, next you sew a gathering stitch around the center ends, will be the center of the Dresden. Pin the Dresden to your base fabric as Jenny shows, then gather the blades so they lay 'kind of' flat. Add the proper sized circle in the center, I used the machine blanket stitch for attaching the plate and circle to the base fabric. I made this version using one floral fabric for each Dresden and they are called gathered flowers. Very pretty and goes rather quick, just another way to make the plates unique.
Did my blocks during a quilt retreat and some other gals started making them and they all turned out very pretty.

Can you show a picture of what you mean about with points around the center. It sounds great.

My order shipped and it was my very first order from them. I love the email they send me describing how my purchase was being moved by a "handsome man in a horse drawn carriage" etc. etc. Very sweet visual. I will just HAVE to order more from them in the near future!!

I do plan to start a Dresden Plate quilt next using their You Tube video method. I just have to decide on what "look" I want an what fabrics from my stash I can use.

Got an email today that they processed my payment for my issue of the Block, so it should be here next week. Am excited to have the information in print. I made the churn dash pinwheel 2 into a sofa quilt for my Pastor and wife. Went so easy watching the video but print will be so much better.
