I have never seen this before, Thanks so much for sharing it.

Very interesting. I never cared for the knotty look - this is much nicer!

Thanks so much Crafty Bear, you are so good to find great resources for all of us on this board. I don't know how you do it but you are "TOPS" in that area. Thanks again for all links you find for us.

I like this - think I'll have my DGD do this on her first quilt.

My Church group does this and we call it the "international stitch". We use it on our humanitarian quilts. Really easy.

I do this for a lot of throw pillows. No one likes a hard knot on a pillow.

What a neat alternative to battling a quilt sandwich in the machine! Thanks Craftybear.

Matilda 06-10-2011 11:34 AM

That is neat!

Great idea for baby quilts. There is some thought that strings can come undone and babies could choke on them. This takes care of that concern. You are so helpful, crafty bear! Thanks

MellieKQuilter 06-10-2011 12:20 PM

Love this technique! Thanks!

That is what I was going to say "the international stitch" for humitaritian projects. It works great.

thank you Ms Crafty bear for showing me this tutorial. I get asked to tie quilts and now I will have a new method. Maria

Marysewfun 06-10-2011 06:13 PM

Thank you, Craftybear - I not only like this idea, but I followed up on her simple rag baby quilt which is absolutely darling and the instructions are quite clear.

Thank you for finding this stuff for us! :-)

Really looks interesting. Does the quilt need to be on a frame??
