Interesting way to make a Hunter's Star

WOW! Hunter's star is on my bucket list. I think this is by far the easiest construction I've seen. I thought I wouldn't like the additional seams in the large squares, but it looks like it adds additional texture.

Must try just for kicks and grins! Love how some blocks can be constructed in so many different ways. I also think that before accuquilt mfgrd the hunter star die, there was/is a way to make one using a technique very similar to this one.

Anyone know if there is a PDF for this particular pattern. It looks easy enough but I don't want to be running back and forth to my computer.

This will be a fun demo when it's my turn to do demo at guild. Thanks.

There's not a pdf, but if you scroll down a bit from the video, there are 4 or so still photos that you can print off. Basically make 4 HST, cut them into quarters & rearrange.

Thanks. Interesting tutorial. I saved it to Pinterest.This is on my endless bucket. list. Interesting way to make this block. I have several methods saved. I will have to figure out the best one.

I like that it makes a very big block when the four blocks are sewn together. Four completed blocks will be about 80" long.

I am making a Hunter's Star with this method. It's been on the back burner though, as my original machine bit the dust, and I started working with a different machine and the seams are different for both machines :(

I tried it...too bulky with all those seams- for me anyway...I prefer the pattern of 2 large sqs., and companion 2 1/2" hst...or better yet, my GO die!

Some parts are speedy but too much cutting for me...
Didn't like the big square having to have 4 parts...
