If you ever get the chance go to the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham. The photos are marvelous but the quilts themselves are so much more.

Oh my gosh! Those are unbelievably beautiful. I'm awestruck. And did you notice on the close-ups, some of those are hand quilted!! These quilters have definitely taken this to a new high in artistry.
