internet find of the week
If you're a user of Coats xp thread(and I am) it is on sale ($2.30)til the end of March @ Wawak Sewing. My happiest find was finally finding a seam ripper with replaceable blades.Ultra Pro Seam Ripper w/5 blades-7.85 .What a find!

My Bernina is not happy when I try to use C&C. Thanks for the posting for others.
Coats is not liked by any of my Janomes...threw all my coats away. It might work fine for some. I found it linty as well.
Coats and Clark threads are equivalent to repairs on all my machines. I was told by a staff member at one of the quilt shops in Panama City, FL that Coats and Clark threads are no longer made in the USA. This brand of thread comes from China.

I use C&C metallic. It does not shred like the other metallic thread when I'm fmq with it. I don't use C&C for piecing though.
Heavens, I use C & C and have for years. Starting with maternity clothes 54 years ago, baby clothes, children's clothes and now quilts. I have never had a problem and will continue to use this thread. My Janome Horizon and my Viking have no problem with it.

Well, there was, last time I was in NC a large C&C factory near Marion. HMMM!
I'am with fivepaws, all of my machines like it. janome,2 Vikings 4 singers, 1 Kenmore ,1 phaff ,1 shark intella sew, it lints but keep your machine clean.
I've never asked any of my machines (singer, Viking,bl,apps l/a) if they like any kind of thread...I use whatever, C&C among others.....no problem....lint is a byproduct of cotton, thread or fabric....
Try a low lint, yoj will love it...Aurifil works great. I find that many others cause alot of lint inside my machines. King Tut is another...look for long staple threads...they also last longer in garments, so would in quilts too, I suppose

No finicky machines in my house. They all eat just what I serve up. An Elna, several Singers, like 4, a Janome and a Brother PQ 1500s
My machines all like it, my Brother, my Baby Lock and my Singer all do fine with it.
