Iron Quilter

MSQC is having Iron Quilter again. The video for it is hilarious! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0Vsur7HkwE

AND they are letting you get 4 of the daily deal charm packs at the reduced price because that fabric is part of IQ2.

valleyquiltermo 09-23-2013 04:23 AM

I got mine...........did you?

AlienQuilter 09-23-2013 04:32 AM

I'm trying to be a good girl - it's really hard to do when something likes this is so tempting! LOL

BellaBoo 09-23-2013 04:54 AM

I got four. $20.80 including shipping is a bargain for 4 charm packs. Now to make something to enter. LOL.

valleyquiltermo 09-23-2013 04:57 AM

ummmmmm my 4 cost me 22.18, I wonder why the difference?

AlienQuilter 09-23-2013 04:58 AM

I'm so bad. I also just completed my order for 4 plus their latest bookazine - wow, spell checker did not highlight that word so I guess it's a real word! LOL Now I have to confess to DH what I did. LOL - he will just tell me that I have a long way to go to catch up with him. Plus, I'm currently quilting HIS flannel quilt!

You live in Missouri so yours probably includes taxes.

valleyquiltermo 09-23-2013 05:29 AM

OH, I didn't think of that I did see the taxes after I went back and looked. Thanks AlienQuilter :p

bearisgray 09-23-2013 05:35 AM

Thanks for posting about this.

QuiltingVagabond 09-23-2013 05:35 AM

Got mine ordered too! I probably won't have time to make the Iron challenge, but I love the fabrics :)

valleyquiltermo 09-23-2013 05:38 AM

Can't wait for them to arrive to see what I'm inspired to do. Hummmm

LTeachergeorge 09-23-2013 05:53 AM

Thanks for mentioning that we could get 4 at that price. After resisting it once (with tears in my eyes...) I quickly went back and ordered my 4 plus the charm tumbler template. Really excited now!!. Thank you again. Friends on this board are the best!!!!

Yooper32 09-24-2013 05:38 AM

Just ordered mine too. I really needed some more fabric,(not). But, it was such a good deal and it looks to be so pretty.

travlr99 09-25-2013 08:28 AM

I got mine!!! Just how big are the quilts supposed to be? Do they have to be totally finished by November or just flimsies?

sdeaaz 09-25-2013 04:14 PM

I ordered mine too. I hope instructions and rules come with the charm pack... I have always loved pansies,..... so this will be fun.

I got mine i Ordered the 4 because of the GREAT price and pretty fabric i did not have intentions of doing the challange but after getting the fabric My head went to planning. So over the weekend i have my Top almost all cut and sewen just need to do my boarders :) and today i see they just posted the link to upload your photos... I am sure i do not have a chance but you do not know until you try and it sure was FUN planning and sewing. It will be neat to see what everyone does with these fabrics.

BellaBoo 10-17-2013 01:24 PM

I have my top almost completed.

Belfrybat 10-18-2013 04:45 AM

I ordered the charm packs due to the price, but am not decided if I'm going to try a quilt or not. There is a lot of variety in this pack, and I can't imagine a pattern using all of the colours.
Patti P - where did you find the link to upload the photos? Nothing came up on the site when I ordered the charms.

Got mine too and have been working on my entry. I think the only rule is that you have to use one entire charm pack in the project. Then they will make a link to Facebook for the voting.

Well, I finished mine and have uploaded the pic to MSQC. How is everyone else doing?
Wouldn't you know it, but the one day I needed to photograph something outside, we are having a very early ice storm complete with 30+ MPH winds? So there I stood in the freezing cold, trying not to fall on the ice, getting a pic of the quilt. Ah, the things we do for our craft.
I used a free pattern I found called "Next Generation Magic Nine" from Lyn Brown. I really like the pattern, although the next time I make it, I won't go quite as scrappy as this one. Actually, I wish I'd done a piano key border rather than the four patches, as I think it would have frame the center better. But it is what it is.
