should give you enough eye candy for a bit. The problem is a lot of people also label a scrappy quilt as "crazy" quilting so you'll some of that as well.

You can also go to webshots or photobucket or flickr and search for "crazy quilt" which should result in a fair amount of pictures.

FWIW, if you're thinking of buying a book on the subject, I think Judith's are the best. JMHO. ;) ;)

Picture of quilt is one I worked on for our guilds raffle. I made 2 blocks and sewed it all together by hand.

That is stunning work. I love the setting you chose for the blocks. And the motifs in the setting triangles are divine.

Can I ask how you bound it? With the velvet?
Or it is birthed - turned inside out?
And how was it sewing the velvet - did you sew the borders on hand as well?

I have a project that's stalled as I contemplate what to do with the borders. I already bought the velvet.

Thanks for the nice compliments. The quilt was birthed. Working with the velvet was a nightmare. Originally a group of us got together and machine sewed it together. The gal in charge just said, "make it work" as we all complained how hard it was to sew. All seams were sewn but the last row and i foolishly volunteered to take home and complete. Then the nightmare began. Seams were all over the place. There were many places the seam did not catch and the stitching size was all over the place. Not acceptable for a raffle quilt so I hand picked every stitch and took it completely apart. Then I sewed together by hand. I had to pin and re-pin every inch because all the velvet wanted to do was slip. I have a crazy quilt I am working on for myself and I will buy cotton velvet when I finally get it completed.
