Kaffe Fabric on Craigs list

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/da...126285252.html

I found this listing, sort of amazed at the price and amount of fabric, maybe I shouldn't be, but thought I'd share!

audsgirl 07-08-2012 08:01 PM

The price is $20 per yard, so I will have to decline.

kathdavis 07-08-2012 08:10 PM

Wow! Very proud of that fabric.

MamaHen 07-09-2012 04:21 AM

Don't think they really want to let any of it go.

duckydo 07-09-2012 05:07 AM

$20 a yard? That is nuts, love the fabric, but no way.

i got the same ad in my local cl but the location is listed as kentucky. the seller can list her fabric at any price she thinks to but is she really selling it. and i am sure there are some out there that will pay her price.

i think i see her oop kaffe fabric listings on ebay. it looks like she is creating her own price market.

It's just like these fabric collectors who have some of Heather Ross' fabrics before she went to Munki Munki. Some are going for $60/yard! Yes, they are rare and hard to find. I'm pretty sure I will never pay $10 for a FQ. On the upside, I have several of Heather Ross fabrics, many with yardage, that I think I will use for retirement!!!!

Seller seems like she wanted bragging rights instead of selling the fabric. Good for her for trying to sell it at that price amd maybe she will get it, anything is worth a try.

Annaquilts 07-09-2012 06:13 AM

Maybe the seller should keep it since he/she likes it so much and seem so attached to it. ROFL

She couldn't sell it with one ad dated June 24th in one state so she moved states , relisted in July and kept the same price ... Don't think the state is the issue , maybe the price ??? LOL

chips88 07-09-2012 06:27 AM

ebay has good deals on fat quarters, but 20.00 a fat quarter is a little much. put them back on your shelf.

this seller has been getting upwards of $15.00 for fq's. yep seller is creating their own price market and there are those who are supporting it.

karenpatrick 07-10-2012 03:16 AM

At that price, she'll be holding on for some time. She is asking for the MOON, but it is always nice to have a DREAM!

What people often don't get is that CL, being local, is not the same as eBay, where you might be bidding competitively with people all around the planet. If she wants an eBay price, she's not likely to get it on CL, or it would be much more a matter of chance.

Also, if she's willing to sell them individually, she might have a chance with a few of them, but only if she showed a clear picture of each one.

tiptrinket 07-10-2012 01:05 PM

That's a bit much, I think!

bearisgray 07-10-2012 01:10 PM

I saw that ad, too - in the Minneapolis, Minnesota Craigs List.

I was pretty excited about it - until I saw $20/yard.

Maybe she bought it all outside the USA - from what I understand, $20/yard is not all that unreasonable in some places

craftymatt2 07-10-2012 07:28 PM

That is just so crazy, would not pay that price, no matter how rare
