Kona Cotton Question

Awhile ago there was a thread questioning the quality of Kona fabrics. Kona has responded and I thought I'd share their response. I was interested because I use their solids as accent fabrics. I've been recuperating from major surgery and haven't been on the board as much as usual so forgive me if someone has already posted this.

Thanks for sending this. I use Kona whenever I need a solid and have never had a problem.

Wow, thanks. I love Kona.

Great info, thank you!

Great info. Went on line to JoAnns because there have been many discussions about the quality of their Kona solids. It contains the Kona Solid logo so I am assuming it is the same as LQS. I personally have always been happy with the JoAnns but it is always nice to see it confirmed.

I agree with Emma S. I have always been happy with the JoAnns quality of their Kona solids. Kona stands behind there product no matter were it is sold.

Thanks for sharing.

In it it states:

All Kona® cotton is dyed using reactive dyes and is processed and tested according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, satisfying the requirements of its product class.

Does anyone know what a reactive dye is (or what's a nonreactive dye)?
