Laptop table?

Have seen this twice now...it's called Lap App. Cost $60. Anyone have one? Paperpieces.com has one and also Amazon. I think I'll wait for a coupon, or sale, but I think for doing handwork this might be a help.

When I saw your heading, I thought it would be one of those lap desks with beanbag type fill in the underside to conform to the shape of your legs, very handy for beading. Those I have seen in thrift stores, but this new one reminds me of a lap quilting hoop I have seen Jean Brown use. This is a neat gadget, probably developed by a thoughtful husband who's crafty wife had neck pain.

Actually, I have several of the beanbag type lap desks. This one looks a bit more streamlined, adjustable and I saw one pic that shows it with an ironing fabric ( silver) too.....could be used when traveling...? Don't have handy dh (passed), or handy sons-in-law will have to wait and see........

I have one of these. Didn't know that was what it was called though. I bought it at an estate sale for $12. I like how it adjusts to fit. The cover is removable and there is a non slip tracing surface. It came with an ironing cover pad too . It's great to take to a sew day to do EEP when I don't want to take a machine for sewing.

It looks like a very handy thing to have. I really like the spindles for thread.

You have no idea what contortionist images come to my mind. I understand the lap top table, but, am getting hung up on the foot. Could you explain more about your gadget?

That's the only way I buy most of my want to have sewing tools. I find most of the bargains at flash sales on Facebook.

The Laptop table should have a edge on the bottom of this it so your laptop will not slip off. On the one I bought has this 1 inch piece of wood. I put my foot peddle on to this. My foot peddle does not slip or move around.0If I knew how to post a picture I would show everyone.

I think the little magnet is my favorite part! no more "Now where did my needle end up?"

I really like this, I bet one could clip a small light to it and then it would really be perfect.

There used to be a husband and wife team that sold something like this at the Quilt Gathering Show in Nashua/now Manchester, N H. I don't know if they still do.

I just recd a newsletter from pieceocake and she has the lap app for $60, but free s&h...so far, so good...have it in the shopping cart there.

Has anyone used this to help with upper back and neck pain? I have poor vision and am finding myself hunching over when tracing and cutting out appliques. I'm wondering if the lap app that sits on your lap and/or a table and adjusts at different angles would help. Or is it just something you would want to have to make things portable? Thanks! Beth

Someone with a handy husband could make something like this. It is a neat idea.
