Link to make your own pouncing tool and powder

Do any of you pounce for your quilting designs? This link is for embroidery, but I think it would work. I have never bought the materials ( I thought too expensive), but I might try this. Happy Pouncing. Quilter 1234

Really cool. thanks so much. To buy the "real" stuff, they want way too much money. This is great.

Thanks for the link. This looks like an easy alternative to the expensive pouncer.

I LOVE this idea! I was too cheap to buy the regular ones, and this is a great alternative. Wonder if I could maybe just use baby powder in my pounce? Thanks for posting the link. :)

I liked the link a lot since I embroider it is an extra joy...
One thing though, in reading the directions for the pounce I could not see where the "dowel" fitted in at all!
Can someone clarify for me... having a brain farct;)

Rather than go to all that trouble to cut a ball, glue on etc. Simply use one of the super cheap painting sponges with the handle. In the quilting store we used that instead of a pounce bag....lots cheaper.
