You are right! Mary Jo's is only about 45 minutes to an hour from me. Made a trip each of the past 2 Wednesdays! They had some of the Wizard of Oz fabrics on sale for $1.99!!!!

Have only been there once when we lived in NC, but never forgot that trip. It's so easy to spend money in there!

Mary Jo's is on I-85 in Gatonia, NC - well southeast of where you brother lives. I would say it would take 3+ hours to get there from North Wilkesboro. Piedmont Quilter |
Just found out that we have a grandchild on the way, so going to order some of the Aunt Grace fabric for a special baby quilt! :D :D :D Ninnie in NC

Happy shopping - good excuse to go to Mary Jo's !! Piedmont Quilter |
Thats a lot of fabric.....wish I was closer :D

I really wish they would update the navigation on their site. It is irritating to say the least to have to click so many times before getting to see the fabric.

I think they are working on that. In fact, they have not been online for very long. Mary Jo's son is doing all the computer work and has not got even half of what they have on the web page yet. I have found that if you are looking for a particular fabric, you can e-mail them, and if they have it will give you precise directions to find it on the web site if it has been loaded onto the web page. BUT - there is nothing like going to Mary Jo's in person!!

Wow - wish we had places like that in France.....!

Oh!!! I'm so glad to see that Mary Jo's is coming online. I have a daughter and her family that lives/works in Winston-Salem. I've visited often, and always make a point to go to Mary Jo's. It is HEAVEN on earth!!! If you can't find it there, they probably don't make it.
I hope to move to NC, and then I will truly be closer to heaven. :D |
