Lynette Jensen's "Thimbleberries" Website and Store closing
Lynette sent out an email today saying the website and studio is closing December 20th. After 26 years, she is taking the opportunity to enjoy family, friends and gardening at a slower pace. She will continue to design for RJR fabrics and publish quilting books. When I returned to quilting a little over 2 years ago, my first Craigslist sale buys included two gorgeous Thimbleberries samplers and a handful of her books (often found on my night stand). I am linking Lynette's website as she has lots of free patterns AND wonderful recipes. Check out the link to the Charitable Initiative tab, too- there's a free pattern there, too. http://www.thimbleberries.com/

Wow, that surprises me! My first quilting book was from Thimbleberries.
|
I think she is great and hope she enjoys slowing down a bit to enjoy her family. I would bet that most of us have at least one of her books. :-)
|
I have several of her books from way back. I love her colors, prints and patterns. I always like the "country" style of hers...
|
I have many of her books, and a lot of fabric...mostly from 8 years ago and older. I love how so many of her fabrics work with the reproduction fabrics that I mostly buy now.
She certainly has inspired a lot of quilters over the years...and can understand taking time for family. |
I like the Star of Hope pattern on that Charitable Initiative tab. I've always loved Lynette's patterns and have several of her books. Happy for her she's "retiring", if that's what she's doing, but she'll surely be missed by all us quilters.

I have made some of her patterns. They are very cozy patterns.
|
I love Thimbleberries fabrics! They always make me feel 'warm'.
|
Can't blame her but she'll be missed. I met her years ago & we had a great chat as she sat next to me at the meeting :D

thanks for the info
