Marcia Layton designs of small quilts
 

In a vendor booth, I saw these small quilts using yo-yos at the recent Shipshewana Quilt Festival. I mentioned to the vendor how creative they were. She told me the pattern designer was right there in her booth. I talked to her for a few minutes & told her how cute they were. I know I would never use the patterns, but they are so cute, I want to pass them on. She uses the yo-yos as parts of the animals, plants, and buildings in her designs.

One of my first quilts was an overall yoyo pattern with a scalloped border. It was tedious work making hundreds of yoyos, but it turned out to be a really nice quilt which my daughter loved.

My friend loves making yo yo's. I will pass this along to her. Thank You.
