Actually, you never want to use masking tape, it can harm the surface of your machine. I noticed the title used the term "masking tape" when they are talking about "painter's tape", which is easily removed and does not take the finish of your machine with it when you remove it. Both masking and Duck tape can do harm to your machine and leave a residue on fabric.

neat ideas. I use some but the one about HST is great! I know there is a ruler for this but if I don't have to buy a new ruler I'm happy, MOOORE money for fabric!
