I was reading an article and was thinking about memory quilts so i thought I would start this thread so others can learn and give us ideas.

I found this nice link for us to all enjoy and will try to find others, if you have any links, please post them here for all of us to enjoy.

I brought this back up because I am starting on a memory quilt for a fallen Marine. His mom is a good friend of mine. I would like to incorporate the pictures into a more traditional quilt pattern rather than just making square blocks with frames. I also have a couple of T-shirts to work into the quilt though I'm thinking I may just put them into the backing. Been looking at old threads on the forum and wondered if anyone had any new ideas? Thanks.

you could use the eight pointed star pattern, it has a solid square in the middle, where you could put a picture and it would work up nicely, and have stars as an allover design..

I just found this cool ladies blog and would be cute done up in patriotic fabrics.
