Had a heck of a time finding these. Not even Joann's had them.
Wanted them for my Elmer's glue and such. If anyone else is looking, here is the link: https://www.softexpressions.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc? |
Thank you!

Thank you sew much, I use Sharon Schambers techn. for binding and have been looking for these.
|
I think I got mine at Michaels.
|
thanks

Metal glue bottle tips are hard to find if you do not quite creative.
I have found them at Michaels in the stained glass/glass painting section. Plan B is the make-it-yourself plan. The plastic screw-on applicator part for the glue bottle is easy to find at Michaels/JoAnns/etc. and the metal tip is nothing more than the metal tip of a mechanical pencil. The metal mechanical pencil tip will screw right on to the plastic applicator. Viola - a fine tip for a bottle of glue. |
Thanks for the links and tips. I've also been looking for one of these.

Also, don't be fooled into purchasing the Glue Baste It glue.
Great tip on the glue bottle.....you pay dearly for the glue and glue refil. It is water based Elmer's glue. Just keep filling that bottle with the Elmer's. Diana in TX |
I saved the printer ink refill squeeze bottles with the pinpoint long tip. Works great!
|
I use Aleene's but should change over to and Elmer's type as it washes out. And thanks for the tip on the pencil end! 'Course yesterday I glued/basted a whole super-queen binding on! I have a 5 pack that I never use!
The Joann's near me couldn't find them anywhere, so of course I've ordered some, then I read this! Anyone want to buy new metal tips, still in the package? Enjoy the day! |

in Joanns, those tips are over by where the acrylic and patio paint bottles are..the tips are hanging up. the brushes are there too.. i found them by accident one day, and bought them..
i also learned the sharon way..it is not for everyone..it is an extra step.. |
what words did you use in their search box. I could not find them.
My JoAnn's and Michales did not have the tips in any department. Each store will carry different items. |

Thank you for posting this. I've looked and looked for them!!! I wanted to try a finer tip for Sharon Schamber's glue basting ideas. Glad you posted it!
|
i went to joanns site, and they no longer carry it on line.but they did show a picture of it..
$3.99 in the store. 3 metal tips, fine, super fine, extra fine. and 2 -2ounce bottle caps. they are really fine tipped, you need to water down the glue a bit |
thank you - found the item and ordered them.
Accidently checked the wrong shipping instructions, so I called and they changed it over the phone. Very helpful owner. |
I used mine straight from the bottle. It made really small dots and my placemats turned out great.
|
Thank you for the info & the links!
|
Thanks for the wonderful tips.
|

I bought a set at Hobby Lobby in the craft department.

Just ordered mine from Soft Expressions. Thank you for sharing the information. :-)

Check out stores that sell the little bottles of Apple Barrel acrylic paint (or similar brands) On a card near these bottles are the metal tips just like the spendy ones you find on quilting/sewing sites/stores.
I use these and they work great! You can get 3 tips for the price of 1 :D:D:D |
I realize its been awhile since this was posted but I just made my own tip. I had some old ink refill syringes with the blunt tips needles on them. I took one of the needles and cut it in half. Took the top off the glue, cut the inside part off and put the needle up in the top. Then put the orange lid back on and put it all back on the glue bottle. I tried it out and it works great.

great tip! lol

I found a little bottle with a fine tip today: " 18-Gauge Glaze Applicator - 2-oz. Bottle" $3.10. http://www.enasco.com/product/9715007. It's for glazing ceramics, I assume. Nasco is a neat little warehouse full of all kinds art supplies, farm & education supplies. I found when my kids needed art supplies, they were usually enough cheaper, even Walmart couldn't beat them on many items like clay, glues, beads, etc. They even have sewing notions & thread. |
Just wanted to say, I spent an hour in my Michael's store today looking for the bottle or tips near every paint section: craft, glass, acrylic, stencil, as wells as the cake decorating dept, the stamps area, kids art supplies, and fine arts/printmaking. Nothing! Maybe my store is smaller or they are out.
It would be nice to just find the tips, as the glue bottles themselves work fine. Thanks to everyone here on QB, such clever ideas. |
