Michael's fabric
Good morning -
Just wanted to let others know that with great misgivings I took a risk and ordered some Camelot Mixology from Michael's online. It was indeed first quality, as the Mixology I ordered from Keepsake and MSQC was! Ha! They have quite a lot of it, and it's 6.99 a yard. They even threw in some extra inches. Their tracking is excellent, too. My experience with Camelot fabric in the non-licensed lines has been very positive. High thread count, great feel, and doesn't become wonky when washed. I've paid top dollar for rough, thin, or fraying stuff from other companies, as we all have, so this has been a bit of sunshine. hugs, charlotte |
Michael's? i can only think of a Michael's like Hobby Lobby store..... well Hobby does sell fabric.

Oh darn, can't use coupon on this fabric.

I was surprised to find fabric in Michael's, but it isn't bad fabric at all. The store isn't more than 6 miles from me. To go to Joann;s or Hobby Lobby is 15 miles one way. To go to a LQS is a good 25 miles one way. I do make some charity quilts or baby quilts, and sometimes driving to the LQS cuts into my time sewing. LOL

Grannie Cheechee, I think it's just online. There was a banner saying that carrying fabric was "new."
If they continue to do that, perhaps carrying lines that are a few years old, it would be a great thing. I paid way more than 6.99 at Keepsake before it closed its store. hugs, charlotte |
Enjoy! Our Michael's here in BC, Canada has started to carry fabric, but the quilting cotton there is $20/Cdn per metre and no coupons can be used in that dept.

I like the idea of Michael's carrying fabrics. I have to go by one frequently. All fabric shopping is still off limits for me right now as I am doing my best with the fabric Moratorium. This is tempting though.
