Missouri Star block/MSQC tute
Jenny's new tute is her logo......I think I would like it better with a narrow background strip separating those bold stars....that's just me.......it says 42 10" squares of color...she said some lite, dark,med......kind of lost track...do you think one square of each makes one block......along with background,of course...maybe I need another cuppa!

I ran through the tute this morning, too. She made 12 blocks for the quilt (3 X 4) and in the tute, she used one 10" square for the center of block and only a portion of the the other squares for the rest of the block. So I got that you needed 3 10" squares for each block along with the background pieces. I am thinking scrappy would work very nicely and would make for a nice fall table topper. She is such a delight to watch and I think she would love to see all the variations of the items we make from her tutes!

I love the block, but I would put it together differently. Jenny's tutorials focus on the "easy" way which is great and is what they are designed to do--she has made quilting accessible for many people.

I've been wondering lately if they ever did a quilt with the Missouri Star and here is the answer. Here's a link to the tutorial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6dd...VFDHmDXqCIzuAw

Geri B, I thought the same thing about separating the stars. Using scraps for the stars would work well, I think.
