Thanks for posting! This is one of my absolute favorites that she's done. I have a couple jelly rolls that have been sitting around because I didn't have a love affair with any pattern that would show them off. UNTIL NOW! Whoo hoo! I am totally making this one, ahem, when I finish my current projects. LOL!

That is really cute, trying to figure out how to chain piece this block. :)

We chain pieced a log cabin 15 years ago. But the colors were all the same in each block. We sewed all the center squares onto a strip. Trimmed them and sewed all these pieces onto the next strip.

With this scrappy quilt you could sew two or three pieces onto a strip and then change strips. You would still always have one under the needle. After you have a lot of double pieces made, sew an assortment onto the next strip.

I watched that yesterday and am hooked. I think that I, too, will work on depleting my batiks after the Holidays. Too much to do now to even think about it. I think part of Jenny's speed has to do with her fabulous set up. For myself, I have my ironing board clear across the room so that I am forced to get up and move. I am much slower for sure, but for this one, I may have to move the board. There's a lot of pressing.....

I'm thinking it could be chain-pieced pretty easily, just stack each block with the color you want to use next.
