I did it with black and batiks
Trying to get a pic. as for the placement, if you start with 4, 2 of the opposite corners the points go toward each other, the other 2 squares the corners point away from each other |

Seems a bit washed out to me with all that white. I think it would look better with black and bright batik triangles. That what is great about Jenny's tutorials, she gives you an idea for a specific design and then you can use whatever method or fabrics work best for you.

Now with the black bkgrnd it is much easier to see the pattern flow.....I do agree the white makes it wishy-washy. This is agreat " modern" using grey as bkgrnd....maybe?

I love it in black and brights. I'm planning polka dots, but haven't decided on background color.
