I sooooooo enjoyed that! I am making the Dear Jane quilt with the group on this site and so I am very interested in early to mid-1800 cotton fabrics. This was so fun to zoom in and see the detail of these fabrics. It re-enforces the comments I've often heard that there is incredible color in the fabrics of that era. Thanks so much for sharing!

My teacher that has for 3 yrs taught us not only different civil war blocks she lectures in class about battles, etc that was going on during the civil war; it's the best $30 a month my money could buy. She's setting us up a trip to the museum where we'll be able to see alot of things that aren't on general display. I'm so excited about going. She's been there before and has told us about it. She was the first to share this link with me but thank you because I never tire of seeing them.

This is an excellent resource - great documentation on size, history, and organization. We are fortunate to have an opportunity to study these Civil War quilts. Thanks for the link.
