What a wonderful tribute to a very special woman. All the podcasters today could take a lesson from this incredible teacher and her on-air presence. I had the opportunity to meet her when she first started working for MN Fabrics, and even early in her career, it was obvvious that she was not only a talented instructor she was a special person. Thank yiou for sharing this link, it brought back a lot of great memories.

Thank you for providing the link to this kind documentary. It is a loving remembrance of this kind teacher of sewing and quilting. Worth the hour to view.

I stumbled onto her store a number of years ago while doing a teacher trainings. I asked the group of teachers if there were any quilt stores near by since I had some time before my next training some miles way. "Yah, there is a quilt store about half way between towns." Boy, oh, boy was I surprised to discover it was Nancy's Notions. This group of teachers must not have been quilters or sewers because they were very nonchalant about directing me to the site. Yes, Nancy was there busy helping another shopper with a question. I just smiled and said hello and walked on with my little package of fabric. I was too shy and star struck to chat with the real live Nancy of PBS fame.

Thank you for posting. I watched the documentary and she really was a special, special lady. I'm still learning from her and refer to her books often (I bought several) and continue to watch her YouTube tutorials. We lost a great soul.

Thanks for posting. I read her biography and really liked getting some insight into the person Nancy. Of course she was a great teacher and encourager but she was also a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Her quiet, confident faith was and is inspirational.
