that first one is really simple and explained very clearly. I wonder why they didn't take another few minutes and show how to do the side and bottom seams. Did I miss another link?

I have made several pillowcases using this technique. It is very easy.

At first I thought she sewed herself into a 'corner', then like a majician she pulled a pillow case out of a hole! Thanks for the link!

Love this pattern ... it's so quick & easy and looks awesome! There are also different ways to do the band in patchwork that is so cute!

When you download the pattern, it has specific instructions for doing french seams on the side and bottom. Basically, sew 1/4" seam with right side out (I then trim mine a little), turn and press, then sew another 1/4" with wrong side out, turn and press. Do the same thing on the bottom. It's a very nice finish!
