"Needles, Tension, Bobbin, & Delivery"
Great tutorial to learn about issues you may be having with these things. I came across it while looking for information on why my Janome will not sew stitches consistently. DH checked the timing and it is still lined up correctly.
I like the big needle in the video. It shows the big groove above the eye in all needles that makes it easy to thread the needle. I broke my auto-needle threader and was happy to learn, previously, about the groove. If you just push your thread against the shaft it will fall into the hole! I used to get on my glasses and hunch over and try so hard to "hit the hole". https://www.superiorthreads.com/vide...fabulous-four/ |
Thanks. That was very informative.

Haven't watched the video yet, but appreciate your sharing. I sometimes have trouble with my auto-needle threader, so anything I can learn is good!

Thank you! I have a Kenmore/Janome, same problem with mine, sometimes it sews normal and other times it does not....frustrating.

I found a big mistake I made, I was using an Organ brand needle I purchased online. I found out I ordered the wrong kind! It has a round shaft which is used for long-arm machines. I wrote Superior threads thinking all Organ titanium needles were round and how was I to know if it was inserted straight and found out most home machine needles have a half round shaft with a flat back.
I put in a nice MicroTex Schmetz 90/14 and now my stitches are consistent. |
Thanks for the link, great tips.

Thanks for the link . I'll watch it later. You never know when our machines will demand it / lol :D

Thank you for sharing great information.

Would love to view this: is there a written article covering this tutorial? I am on dial-up and videos do not work for me.
