Yes, any cut-they consider a whole bolt one cut-so it is good to use for backing, muslin etc- basics you'll use alot of. You can only use them on fabric that is NOT already on sale, though. I tend to use them for the pricier premium fabrics when they are not on sale. I think you can also use if for batting by the yard if not on sale. I bought a whole bolt of light blue paisley wide backing-(a few months ago) using a 50% off coupon.

Wish we had a Jo-Ann's here in Grand Junction, CO. They closed up shop in September and said they are looking for a new place as the mall charged them too much. So I get the flyers but no Jo-Ann's to go to. Unless I want to travel to Denver or Salt Lake City. OH well .. or go online ...

You can still shop them on-line-in fact, many of the sale items are available on-line only. I have also found many more fabrics on line available where they are out of it in the store (or don't have enough). The only problem for me is I LOVE to feel the fabrics when shopping! Sometimes I find it in the store, write the number's down, then order it on-line if I need more than they have in the store. Make a note what lines they carry on line, then look at other shops to decide what you want, then order it on-line if you can get a better price.
