New Craftsy Mystery Box

July's box is now on sale, $55. I would love to order it again but sadly the budget does not allow for it. :(

Saw this add and think its sounds like great fun - but $11.00 shipping is ridiculous. Why do these places go so cray on the shipping. It sure does not cost that to ship this thing

Just tried to buy that ,an they say whats in it but, once you get signed in it goes to knitting, so I guess they can keep it. I guess I did not want it any way, joyce j

I saw on here recently that someone (or maybe more) had been very unhappy with their mystery boxes.

I do not like mystery boxes or grab bags. It always seams like I get something I really don't like! Wrong size, not age aproprate, hate the color, you get my meaning. Should have just donated cash would have saved time and shipping! LOL

I ordered one and was happy but I know a couple were not. The boxes do vary by the amount of fabric, though they state is all priced the same.

Are you trying to stir the pot???? ;) I saw the ad on my FB page and I giggled! I'm still on the fabric diet so I won't be partaking once again. I have a friend coming in from Floriday and he will be here on Wednesday. I taught him how to sew and quilt a couple of years ago. I will be taking him to my favorite LQS and I just know I will not be able to resist once I enter and catch a whiff of that "new fabric" smell!!

I've always had good luck with grab bags (Whittle's Civil War ones are fabulous!) but I remember several of the gals here weren't very happy with theirs last month. And I agree about the postage. Sometimes it makes the discount a moot point.

I was very unhappy with the mystery box I purchased last month. I questioned craftsy about the value of what little merchandise I received and they finally responded with what they said was the market value of the items I received. I comparison shopped on line and could have purchased what I received for less than half of what I paid. I will avoid falling for the "mystery" deals from now on - my money can be better spent buying what I know I like. Good luck!

I have to agree with Dixie Lee - the only thing keeping me from ordering one of these Craftsy deals is the out-of-whack postage costs. I recently ordered from Missouri Star for the first time (enabled by this Board, of course!) one of their daily deals - can't beat the $5.00 shipping! They just stuffed the fat quarters into a Flat Rate Envelope, which was fine - it is fabric, after all. I know Craftsy is trying to save on manpower by using the Flat Rate Boxes, but really... even if the deal is great, the shipping cost makes it not-so-great. Just my opinion.
