New cutting mat purchase
I purchased 2 new cutting mats on Amazon.
The supplier is TCP Global Corp the brand is US Art Supply. I got the 18x24 & 9x12 to start with, and I have to say they are GREAT, heavy duty (and heavier than regular mats). The blue/pink (which is what I got) are a little dark color than the picture on Amazon shows. Highly recommend these mats. |
Have you used these before? Price comparable to others? Or better?

Geri,
I just got it last week, but I used it all weekend. The price is not bad when comparing to the name brand of cutting mats. My ultimate goal is to get more sizes. |
I like those mats. I like having the numbers at the edges on all sides – surprisingly, not all of them are printed that way.

I have been very happy with my Omnigrid mats. They last a lot longer than the Olfa which now a days seem to be too thin.

I'm happy with my Fiskars. I don't soak it in the tub. I just wipe it after I'm done using it. I always store it flat and have large pieces of cardboard, I put together to make a sleeve so I can hang it without bowing.

That's a really nice mat.

Great shopping. The Fiskar's 24x36 is on sale at Joanns for $34.19. It's a good cutting mat, for sure, but I don't think it's a sturdy as the TCP mat and it's more expensive. Thanks for the tip.

I purchased the mat that's advertised as 24x36. It isn't that size. The actual width of the mat is about .5" less in both directions, and the grid only goes to 23x35. However I decided to keep the mat anyway, since it does seem thicker than my Omnigrid mats, it is printed on both sides, and I wanted a mat with a different color since it is sometimes hard to use the green Omnigrid mat with some colors of fabric. I'm just disappointed that it isn't the size that was listed.
