Tried out a gel pen over 10 years ago to make siggies (signature squares) to trade and was very happy. I tried everything I knew to make it run, wash out, etc. Used hit water, scrubbed, etc. it didn't bleed , hasn't caused any problems in all these years. Scrap bookers use them and they are archival. Used the silver color - I like stuff like that - so,i, guessing other colors would be just as friendly.

They are not new. I've been using one for about 5 years to mark my mom's clothing for the nursing home. The home she is in has a boat load of them. The home uses a ton of bleach and the ink does fade over time and several hot washes with bleach.

I checked through Amazon and they carry them. I also read a review and the only complaint was that they seemed to "dry out" quickly. So in buying in bulk, they might not be viable when it came time to use a 2nd or 3rd one. What a shame. I guess I would only buy one or one pack at a time. Just me.

Start an email campaign on their website(http://www.pentel.com/contact-us). I forgot which topic I picked; it may have been the "Where to Buy" or "Online Orders."
After reading this thread, I just sent them an email suggesting that they reconsider and where they could market these pens. I also mentioned how big the quilting market is. |
