New-to-me applique tool....Have you ever seen this?
I know a lot of you love to do applique, and when I saw this video on You tube, I thought of you all. It's the Needle turn Applique without the Needleturn - Applique Brush. I've never seen it before, and I might just try applique if I can find this in the U.S. I like the idea of using a starch mixture instead of anything else, and I know you can just use a paintbrush, but this looks like it is a lot less messy. If any of you have tried using one of these, I'm interested in your opinion of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bguP5a8X2sA

Look in the children's craft supplies. My grand has a refillable water pen brush that looks like this.

Thanks for the post!

I knew I saw it some where. I use craft sticks and skewers to hold the seam allowances down when pressing them.

Thanks everyone, I looked yesterday at our local wally-mart, but didn't find anything. Not surprising though, as we don't have much in the way of crafts, even though it's a super mart.
I may or may not do any applique, but I thought I'd post about the tool above for anyone who was interested. |
Thank you for posting that youtube. My daughter does needle turn applique and I gave her the website so that she can watch it. Wow this is a brilliant idea. Wonder where we would find the applique brush anyone know?

We have something like this. Look at Joann's or your LQS. It's a pen type tube that can be filled with a liquid. I use it to erase my chalk lines when I'm quilting on my longarm.

Michael's or Hobby Lobby or any store with a good art department might have something like this. Stampin' Up had a gadget years back that you filled with water and it had a soft brush tip to use on watercolor pencil areas. Blender pen? It's been a long time!
