New msqc tute
Just watched it on YouTube....9 patch madness-great looking, and of course, easy Peasy...and a secondary piece using cut offs of first.
but, what fascinated me was the fact that during her sewing, she broke thread and in retreading, did not have to thread thru eye, nor use an auto thread lever...is there a machine needle that is a self threader...need it for my manual thread Viking! Eyes getting weak! |
They are called quick threading needles. Several places sell them.
Here is info on them: https://www.schmetzneedles.com/learn...eedle_Info.pdf |
Thanks for that info....I wonder if JAF has these......or I'll try amazon
The last four quilts I have made have been from Jenny's tutorials. I was fascinated with the machine needle threading too! I had to rewind and watch two time. LOL
I got the email but haven't watched it yet. I like that pattern a lot. I've made a lot of Jenny's quilts. Fun!!!
I have a friend that tried those "self threading" needles, said to don't bother wasting your money.
I wonder if these self threading needles come in HLX5 for my Janome 1600P???
I watched the tutorial this morning too. I love that pattern and thought it would be fun to make in civil war fabrics. I really love all of your tutes.
I also watched and have added another to my list to make, but she did use the needle threader. It was quick but you can even hear when she releases the threader! But, I could be wrong:shock:
I love the fact that she makes it look so simple to make very complex looking quilt.
