Bonnie Hunter has just posted the "yardage requirements"(she just uses up scraps) for a new mystery quilt. I have not done one of hers yet, but am thinking I might try this one. Anyone else up for this challenge?

I'm afraid to look. Then I will have two in progress. Her Mystery quilts are awesome!

I'm going to peek! Not that I need another project either...

I would love to, but it calls for more colors than I have and I don't have money to buy any.

the cool thing about her quilts are, they aren't about color so much as value, and what you have on hand, or can collect by keeping you eyes open. Her quilts are about as true to the nature of quilting as you can get. Her quilts are big, but you can bring it down to your own needs.

It says 12-15 different fabrics of 3 different colors. I don't have that much fabric on hand.

I could be hooked! I certainly have enough of a stash I'd be happy to reduce! The best "challenge" is using ONLY stash fabrics!
Does one have to sign up somehow to get the clues?

I follow her blog, but I think there is a yahoo group for her as well.

I am so intrigued by Bonnie Hunter's philosophy of stash quilting. Someone on live chat the other night pointed her site out to me as I have a tremendous stash and inherited alot of stash and scraps from my mother last year.

I went thru her site and found her current blog about the new mystery quilt as well as three other mystery quilts she's done. The one called 'Double Double' (I think that's right) just took my breath away when I saw the finished quilt.

My question and concern is...I'm not an experienced quilter so would it be best to copy the old mystery quilt steps and the new ones also for me to work on as I'm able? Or should I step in with both feet and follow along on this journey? The timing (the holidays) and my getting overwhelmed concerns me.

Sorry this is so long...just trying not to get in over my head.
