I'm going to be doing this online workshop and I was curious to see if anyone else is going to be doing it as well..

http://www.cddesigns.com/Workshop/index.html

I haven't decided what colors I'm going to use yet... I'm really excited about this workshop :)

Gerbie 08-18-2010 06:07 AM

I went to the site, and it is my understanding from what I have read, that this is a free workshop, is it?

akrogirl 08-18-2010 06:14 AM

Thank you for posting this link :-) This looks like a fun workshop to try.

I did have free in the title of the post ;)
I'm really excited about it - free is always good!

I bought a tree skirt pattern from her last year and never got the courage to start it. I think this workshop will give me the strength I need to do it.

newquiltmama 08-18-2010 06:33 AM

Very cool. Thanks for sharing the link. I have been wanting to make a table scarf for my house but I was just gonna do square. This is much prettier!

Jerudy 08-18-2010 06:37 AM

I think I'm going to sign up for this also.

CoyoteQuilts 08-18-2010 06:57 AM

Yes, Cindy is generous with her time and talent. This is the 2nd workshop she sponsored that I know of. She did one on another forum I am on with EPP (english paper piecing). Have fun and show pics when you get your project done!

CarrieAnne 08-18-2010 07:13 AM

I will check it out! Thanks!

tonsau7 08-18-2010 07:42 AM

It looks pretty cool. I think I will take the class.

QBeth 08-18-2010 07:53 AM

Just signed up! Thanks.

I forgot to warn you all that you need legal sized paper to print out the pieces. I got mine at Walmart as it was about $2.50 cheaper for the ream than Staples. I'm not sure how many pieces of it will be needed but I figure I'll use it again down the road.. The paper was about $5.50 at Walmart.

Thanks for the site. I signed up. Who knows what mine will look like. LOL

greencat 08-19-2010 12:29 PM

I signed up - this should be interesting!

golfer 08-19-2010 04:01 PM

She did mention at the bottom of one of the pages that there was a small fee. Does anyone know what the small fee is?

Yarn or Fabric 08-19-2010 04:05 PM

"At the end of the program, I will provide all the steps again for a small fee."

I think that's for those that do not print out the directions when they are up. It says that each step will be online for 4 weeks so I assume after that she would charge - so if you come in to it late maybe you would have to pay for the previous steps?

granny_kee 08-19-2010 04:42 PM

Hey, this sounds like fun. I will make this my special time out===Thanks for the post.

luvin quilting 08-19-2010 04:48 PM

Thanks for the recommendation. I signed up.

JudyG 08-19-2010 05:43 PM

Thanks for the link. I signed up. I have been looking for a pattern for a round tabletopper for my neighbor, but think this should work just as well. Anxious to see how it goes.

hawghugger 08-19-2010 06:02 PM

Count me in. I love the pattern they are using. Can't wait to get started. Guess we need to start a new post with our progress. What do you think?

ambquilter 08-19-2010 06:35 PM

I have done this workshop. I didn't get to start working on it until the end of the workshop. It went together fast. She gives you templates and they fit together perfect. It was a wonderful project. Hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I did.

OHSue 08-19-2010 07:34 PM

I am working on the Woven Star Workshop, my first foray into EPP and am kind of fumbling along, but she gives really clear instructions. Make sure to take the time to go through all the other info she has to share.

LastGrandma 08-20-2010 12:19 PM

I also signed up...should be interesting...and a short amount of time spread over a reasonable time span. And all the holidays are coming soon.....

cr12cats 08-20-2010 07:06 PM

I did her fishy wallhanging (still working on it) It was the first time I have done english piecing. With my one hand I am having a hard time with the tiny pieces right now, I enjoyed the rest of it Only 8 more pieces to go. I also ordered her bowls for my next project and yes the lessons are free on that sight and she will help if you need it. She has always answered e mails and is nice. I just order the paper shapes from her site. My cutting isn't very good for that exact work yet.

roseOfsharon 08-20-2010 07:12 PM

Looks like a good workshop, I cannot take on another project at the moment. But hopefully another one will come up after this one. I will keep an eye out for how things are going for each of you. :)

Helen1 08-22-2010 03:47 AM

I had a look at this site and decided to give it a go. Many thanks for the link. Just have to remember to look out for next step!

woody 08-22-2010 04:07 AM

Thank you. I have signed up, it looks like fun, my only trouble is going to be finding the right sized paper, I'm not sure I can get it here in Australia as we usually use A4 so I might have to cut some down to size.
