This was mentioned in an email from Over the Rainbow fabrics. It looks pretty easy to use - one person can hang even a large quilt by themselves. The larger one goes for about $49.

What a neat idea. And here I was wondering while she slid that quilt onto the rod, how is she going to get that on the nail with no opening in the rod picket? Well, duh!

Darlene516 10-28-2011 04:36 AM

Thanks. I think I see a potential Christmas gift for me!

HisPatchwork 10-28-2011 04:47 AM

Great, one more thing I just have to have ;)

It looks great but I thought it was kind of pricey. I came up with a cheaper idea. I use a wood dowel cut to the length you need and 1 or more wire fasteners. (black or clear plastic things that go around the dowel that have a hole to hang on the nail or whatever you use to hang it) I make end pockets and a couple bands to go over the dowel. You can ajust easy to get the quilt to hang stright.

Looks like a neat idea. I would like to hear from anyone who has one to hear if they have used it for different size quilts and are pleased with the look. The one nail sounds great but, since different quilt sizes would need to be hung at different levels, you wouldn't be able to position the one nail to accomodate the different size quilts. However, if you typically hung the same size quilts in that location, it would appear to work. Hopefully someone who has used this product will post their experience.

This looks like a great way to hang quilts.
Thanks

They were there last year. I'd be willing to bet we see them again.
