I'm still trying to learn about threads but I cannot see how to tell the difference between cotton or poly threads on a quilt. I learned thru this grp. that you should use cotton thread on cotton fabrics. Can somebody tell me more about this? I saw that Connecting Fabrics had this new thread but I just skimmed by it since I don't know enough to deal with a new one.

I was wondering this too!!

It was geared toward long arm quilting, but I see no reason it could not be used in a domestic machine. King Tut is geared toward long arm machines, but a lot of people use it in their domestic machines.

So why is long arm thread different from reg. thread used on reg. machines?
