Awesome idea mamagus  :D

I have one...thanks Machel!
I use it for small applique peices and worked wonders when I was making the doll quilt for the swap. Love it! I actually wanted it for the watercolor quilt kit I have. I'm hoping to start that sometime soon! |
The worst I have ever burnt my fingers was with one of these irons. Notice that long metal handle close to the pressing triangle. I just do not understand why they left that exposed--it gets incredibly hot. And why did they have to make the handle so long anyway? Seems like I could get better control with a shorter handle (which is how I burnt my finger). I may be alone here, but I am NOT a fan of this thing.

I not only burnt my hand (badly) by not watching where I was grabbing it but I left in on my ironing board for just a minute and almost burnt a hole in the cover. Glad I didn't burn the house down
I now keep it in a heavy coffee mug when it is plugged in and I make sure NO pets and kids are near. And I don't leave the room while it is on. It works great but you have to pay attention :!: |
Thanks for all of your tips and warnings!!! :D :D :D

I think it is the best investment one can make. I waited forever thinking why do i need one. Then when i was doing some applique I bought one. Best thing I ever bought. Like you said "no more burnt fingers".

Good for you Loretta I didn't think of that.
