Thanks everyone. going to find out where the closest H.F. is in the St. Louis area. We have had several snow storms and hopefully won't need it for this winter season. But it does seem to be a necessary item to have.

I got my hubby one for Christmas with the ulterior motive to use it when I'm sewing at night. I got one for also for my son and SIL and made them all pose at Christmas with them on.

If you get one, the LED type are brighter. You can get them at Ace Hardware, Lowes, etc...they are pretty common.

I have owned these for years to do the horse chores at night when I get home from work. I never thought to use it for sewing. Thanks for the idea, I'll definitely have to try it.

I have one that I use while hand piecing & quilting. Don't know what I would do without it.

Too cute! And it was a most thoughtful gift. What a sweetie you have.

That's cute, my husband is a flashlight geek and has one that clips onto the bill of his hat. He also has a pair of glasses that have little flashlights on each corner, looks like headlights! Smart thinking to get through a power outage!

That is great! Good solution and you can perform surgery if needed!

Hmmmm, good idea Janie! I already know how to cut and sew and with the light i can see what I'm removing. Just need to get an anesthetic 2x4, and I can hang out my shingle! Lololol, i think they have those at Home Depot , too!8-)
