I was looking yesterday for a tumbling block pattern and all I could find was one with Y seams. This one looks so much easier. Thank you for posting this method.

This is definately one to try. I think I may stop and buy some fabric on my way home from work!

Thank you! This makes it look doable for me.

I love it! I've done a TB and it was agonizing. This should be much better. Thanks

Big hugs for posting this. I have been interested in making one of these but it always looked way to complicated for me. This seems to make it so much simpler. It's officially on THE list of to do's.

Great tute! Thanks for sharing.

zennia 04-03-2012 07:52 AM

I cant thankyou enough. I wanted to make this quilt but the Y seams scared me away. Now I can give it a try.

Teri D 04-03-2012 08:38 AM

How do you figure out what you need for something bigger than "crib" and smaller than "humongous" (I assume the finished one on the tute is a king size but WHAT size king size)? This is a big problem for me -- seeing something I like but not being able to translate to different sizes. I got a gadget called a "Quilter's Assistant Proportional Scale" but it doesn't help for something like this.

Thanks for sharing, wanting to add this to my to do list.

Thank you so much for the tute. Have to share this with my guild.

MimiBug123 05-21-2012 07:28 AM

LOL! Another thing to add to my bucket list. I've done one TB, but with y seams and swore I'd never do another. This one looks so easy, I've got to give it a try. I've got about 5 quilts going now and really didn't want to start another one, however..... This might be one I've just got to try.

Delta 05-21-2012 07:34 AM

Thank you so very much for sharing that. I have always wanted to make that but it look to hard with all the y seams.
thank you again
