Now here's something you don't see everyday...
In my daily surfing of craigslist ads, I came upon this one
http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/bfs/3997175995.html mobile quilt shop, interesting concept |
That is different. I suppose it would be a great investment for some of the vendors that travel to quilt shows.
Oh my! Your own personal quilt shop!
Wow have never seen anything like this. But for the avid quilt shop that travels the shows on a regular basis, could be a gold mine.
That mobile quilt shop should come to Staten Island NY and make my day
I could put that behind the motorhome on our site and have a quilting studio.....hmmmmm
Wow - that is quite a concept! And for those traveling to shows it would be a nice star up maybe for someone. Wonder what they are asking for it.
Neat idea! A couple of years ago, a couple came through here with a bus loaded with quilting fabrics and notions. They had just started their business. We have quilt shows here in the winter, so maybe I'll see them again.
I wonder how much? Didn't see a price....
I was thinking for more rural areas, like where I live. I takes 1/2 hr to get to a store. This would be nice to set up in a parking lot once a week and travel to different small town around the area. different area each day.
Now, if I saw that coming down my street I would know I had died and gone to heaven!
Even better than the bookmobile. :)
Oh I need it. The ultimate stash!
What a great idea!
We could follow the Ice Cream turck. HA HA
boy didn't I wish for something like this with all the "old engine show" my men good to I would not have to hope they don't talk ALL DAY. |
The closest thing we had was a " General Store" that was a bus. He used to carry a few bolts and notions at the back of the bus. Another guy brings a bus load up from the coast and sets up in the church hall twice a year - so that is good too. It's good to see these innovative people. When I lived in Yorkshire, England, there was a mobile cafe which was good.
I wonder if the fabric is stored in that trailer. If so, it could be musty or even worse. Strange idea for fabric storage...

(Bet they don't park it in the parking lot of Walmart! |
very unique for sure !
All I can say is, "W*O*W".
I remember someone posting about a trail they had as a sewing room that got stolen out of their driveway with everything in it. The poor women was so heart broken over it. I think it was posted over a year ago. Makes you sort of wander just how many people really do this sort of thing, is it that safe to have or if this is the one that got stolen?

Wow! Never seen anything like that before! I would be a booming business to travel to small towns, where folks have to travel a distance to purchase....
What a good idea, I would love to see more of this.

Wow, that is cool. No price shown, bet it is a bunch. Thanks for sharing, it was fun.
Definitely interesting! Going back to the traveling peddlers.
Wow, great idea! Wonder how much that would cost?
We had a guy and his wife in this area that had an old school bus converted into a mobile quilt shop...I couldn't believe the amount of stuff her packed into that bus! I suspect the cost of gas is why I haven't seen him in a long while. They used to travel to quilt guild meetings, sometimes set up in church parking lots, and sometimes at the farmers markets.
Unique... Have you seen the trolley quilt store?
