It's washable, too!
And you can put whatever you want on it... the story of the quilt,
music, video or a personal message.
I love this!

I read the site. It is a great idea. It is 2.99 for a code. Nice way to personalize your gift. You can even record your voice.

I have some ordered - hope it's as neat as I think it's going to be!

klgls 06-09-2013 04:08 AM

I've ordered 3 - I think they are so cool!!!

Great idea. Thinks for the link.

GREAT idea! I use these currently (as a real estate agent) on all of my listings, so anyone pulling up in knee deep snow during the winter can scan the code from their car and get all the info on the house. Can you imagine making a message for your future grandchild for their quilt?

WOW I am not too savvy on the app stuff but that is just unbelievable!!! I think it would be priceless to have someone be able to see a video of the maker of their quilt after that person is no longer alive.

JacquiGates 06-09-2013 05:16 PM

I was thinking the same thing.

Grandkids that are too "cool" now (grin) will treasure them in the future and share them with their kids.

We are living in a world of wonder...I love the idea....

Just ordered 10 to be sent to GD to put on her quilt that I made several years ago. One for each of my 4 GS who live near me that I have made quilts for and the others for quilts I am now making. This will help me label a quilt. I am bad about doing this.

Wow! what an amazing thing.

In the not so far off, there will be no theft crimes. Most anything will have a location finder embedded, can't be taken out unless item is destroyed. Can you imagine fabric, thread and batting having a location detection embedded in the fibers?

Well, heck, this will certainly make the value go up on the Antiques Road Show...when all the information about a piece is known, the value goes way up! {grin}

Wonderful! I love the idea about singing a lullaby. Wish I could carry a tune!

tessagin 06-25-2013 06:13 AM

This is so brilliant!

DD bought a story book to give to her friend's little girl. It's called "Mooshka, A Quilt Story". It's a darling little book, and I read it to DGD. It's about a talking quilt. I told DGD I could make her a talking quilt! I've just got to put this on my list.

They are also putting these on Memorial Markers at the cemeteries.
