I have done that before. Really helps with keeping the HST going straight thru the sewing machine.

great idea Thank you .

sewingsuz 02-26-2015 05:50 PM

Thanks for this, I will be doing this.

GEMRM 02-26-2015 06:51 PM

Neat idea, now if I can remember to try it!

that's very cool... I'll have to try that method.

I like Jenny Doan's way of folding and pressing the square on the diagonal. I don't like sticking something to my machine, although painters tape would be easy to remove.

Very useful tip. I will try this for sure. Thank you for sharing.

Sweet!

Thanks for posting!

THis is a good idea. It's kind of like the angler tool but much less expensive and easier to place on the machine too. Thanks for sharing it.

I do it the Jenny way, fold, press and then use the pressing line and 1/4" foot and sew on either side and done. Have made many that way.

caspharm 02-27-2015 04:10 PM

Thanks for sharing. That is a neat way to do it.

Thank you for this article. My two quilting buddies are doing the Jinny Beyer quilt that is available through Craftsy and are having an issue with the tiny HST. This should sort things out for them in a flash. Once again thank you Julienm 1.
