I wrote this tutorial up for my blog and I thought you guys might like to see it. It's very easy, but I tried to write it so that some of my non-sewing friends could try it out. You guys would all whip through it! I was going to post it as a tutorial on here in addition, but since it was already done it was a lot faster just to link to it.
If anyone can see any fixes I can make, please let me know. This is my first ever tutorial. Thanks! http://gitdownkitty.blogspot.com/201...l-warning.html |
Fun tut. Thanks for the info. Love the helper:)

Great idea! And yeah, my boyfriend manages to squash the bread every time too...and someone needs to teach him to tie it shut when he's done making a sandwich
|
Thanks for the tute.
|
Cool!
|
Thank you now I know what to do with the legs. I have been making groc shopping bags from the tops of the pants and hated to throw the legs out.
|
Very cute!

Had to bookmark it for future reference. Our bread has to travel 25 miles to get home and sometimes it just doesn't survive the ride. LOL This would be great. I think I might use industrial strength velcro on one side of the handle, Then I could just put them over the shopping cart handle. We always buy bread 4 loaves at a time and it seems that if the checkers at Walmart bag it they try to put it all in one bag or divide it up so that each loaf has several cans of veggies with it.

Velcro is an awesome idea!!! I love it. I am working on one for us that has 4 boxes all taped together. I am going to try a pillowcase to see if they fit inside... if not I will just have to make the right size bag from scratch. We get our bread from the bread outlet so I buy a lot at one time, too. I am so glad you guys like it! I want to try another tut after Christmas. I couldn't believe how long it took- and this is a simple project. I give a lot of credit to the people who write them up all the time. |

My daughter was getting rid of a bunch of her cargo pants and they work great for the shopping bags. You've got places for coupons, shopping list. Now I'll have a bunch of bread bags that match.
|
This was so much fun. I loved it.
|
How clever.I love your idea. Thank You very much.
My grocery bag boy loves squishy bread to. |
great job, going to try and make one for my daughter. Thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I love the title of your blog "Get Down Kitty" I had just yelled that at mine when I opened your website and I thought 'now wait a minute, did she hear me?'
|
That tut was so cute with the cat (helping)....gotta love all their help. Can't wait to make this "Bread Bag" :)
|
Your tutorial blog was very fun!
I got the title right off the bat (it only takes one cat to understand all that <g>) Was glad to find that people that are short and wide DO serve a purpose! My pant legs will qualify for those shorter wider loaves of bread. <wave> |
