Nancy, that is a really good pattern. It could easily be upsized (larger peacock) and then add more rows of feathers. This could be a beautiful center of a quilt. Great job at finding this Nancy.

https://www.bing.com/images/search?v...verlay&first=1 This is a pattern for machine embroidery, but could be turned into an applique for the center of a quilt.

https://www.bing.com/images/search?q...C0&FORM=IQFRBA This is a Bing search for Peacock applique or embroidery pattern. I see so many ideas here that might be work.

https://www.bing.com/images/search?q...lt&FORM=IRIBEP Oh my goodness. These Peacock quilt ideas are just fabulous. I do have some peacock material that I was wondering what I was going to do with and almost any of these would work.

Darn, I am on a no-buy until I use some of my stash year. You've shown me that, just maybe, I need you me a couple of those panels. I have used some stash.....maybe a couple of yards? Should I buy or Not? That is the question. Temptation get thee behind me!

Barb in Louisiana...you are soooo funny!! And a real cool resource. I bought a peacock panel off ebay and plan to make a peacock quilt for my blue bedroom to match the switchplate. So far that is still on the bucket list. I'll put pics on later.

I have two fabrics laying on top of the peacock panel that I thought I'd use. But the picture shows the blue too light??? The gold one has peacock feathers on it. I wonder if I don't need a darker blue?

Now that does not help our original poster. I'm just suggesting that maybe a panel like this would be so much easier than piecing and appliqueing a whole bird.

Try One Piece at a Time Pattern Shop by Erin Russek. "My Tweets" is the pattern and it is appliqued. I did one in purple and teal and it is beautiful!

Our WalMarts (south central Kentucky) have had peacock fabric for a couple of years and still have a variety.
