I must be the only one on this planet that doesn't understand why would you give a pillow case to some one . Im sure it's for a good cause and I've even made five of them .but I don't understand why or what they use them for.(for pillow's?) i can see a blanket, coat or sweater for warmth, I can see food, shoes, ect. ext. But pillow cases befuddle me. can any one explain please

Our faith group helps with summer camps where inner city children bring their belongings in plastic grocery bags. They recieve their own pillowcases and can take everything they receive home in those pillowcases. The counselors love them so much; we make more for them too. We have been doing this for 5 years.

I have run out of donated old pillowcases and now make them to turn into dresses for Haiti and Africa. Simple but colorful dresses for girls are wonderful gifts.

you are all welcome (when they make valor quilts for the soldiers they put the quilt inside of a pillowcase

also pillowcases are fun to make for small gifts to give to others and kids
