I ordered some of the pinmoors, and I really like them. They are so much easier than using safety pins. I ordered two sets, a bit expensive, but thought they were worth having.

I bought some and really like them. Very easy to use.

I was astonished at this because I thought I came up with a nice inexpensive way to do it also, but never posted the idea. Here it is, I take my hot glue gun and make small dots and use them to put on the end of my pins.

I have a set of Pinmoors and I don't know how I lived without them! I'm going to ask Santa for another set!

This has been discussed on another list, and one lady found 3M disposable ear plugs / hearing protection from one of her local hardware stores.
Rather than the 80 plugs, the package actually uses PAIR as their unit of measure, so the package has 160 plugs, further reducing the price of the substitute to a small fraction of the Pinmoors. She ended up paying $13.45 USD, to get 160 plugs, and they do the same job. |
Great ideas but the erasers are the most cost effective. I get about 60 pieces for a dollar. Just a bit of effort is needed to cut the erasers to size.
