Power wrapper

While looking at YouTube tute on wrapped bowls, clicked on this one from Ami Simms website. She has designed this thing to help wrap the cord onto clothesline for fiber bowls....the volume on the tute was rather low, but it looks like she bias cut her strips..and she lightly glues down.....as she wraps....what do you think? Anyone have one of these?

You get less fraying if you cut your strips on the bias but I just give my straight grain strips a haircut if necessary. It is much easier to cut strips of straight of grain fabric in my opinion. I will have to take a look at her tool.

Here is a very simple way to cut bias as easy as cutting strips.

Great youtube tute, thank you!

That was an amazing tutorial, I have been struggling to cut the bias and gave up. Now, off course have to try it again.
Thanks for sharing,

I have two friends who make fabric bowls and other items. They only use a tad of glue at the beginning and then wrap 1 inch strips around the clothesline while they use the zig zag stitch to sew the strips ..
They make beautiful items. They are gong to have a class for our guild members at our meeting in September:)

You can turn the volume up on your computer to compensate for the volume on the tutorial.

Tina, click on the link above. It's a tutorial on how to make the power wrapper.
