I don't press finished quilts. I like the way they look after washing.

I have never ironed a finished quilt. Why would you want to?

I always pre wash fabric ,then iron. When the quilt is finished I wash it by hand and line dry it, I don't iron again. Try to do it on a breezy day. Doesn't get many wrinkles. I prefer a little wrinkle as it give that antique look.

Yep...but when you gift a quilt, the recipient may iron. Great to provide appropriate care instructions.

Most of the people I know don't even own an iron!

I like to press my mini and small quilts when I'm finished. On large quilts, I press the binding when done with the hand stitching. I feel it gives a finished appearance especially when you give the quilt away.
