I love it. Going to go to their site and see if they still have the ruler. I love making table runners.

I have been trying to convince myself to buy yet another ruler I am curious how you made your own template and what measurements you used. I also think that is a cute tablerunner.

LOVE this tutorial...planning on making some of these for Christmas gifts.
Does anyone know where I can buy the large Half-Hexagon template...I am not good at making my own--unless, of course, they are expensive. Then I will get good at making my own template.

I made this from the UTube yesterday, I still need to hand sew the binding , but it was quick and easy. I am going to donate it to my neice for the annual Christmas Bazzar at the hospital to add the their departments basket of goodies...I may also make a few up for family gifts. I took it to my friends LA shop and did Classy Curls on it ...

zennia 10-25-2012 09:55 AM

Glad to hear they are quick and easy to make. I ordered a ruler yesterday because I want to make some for our Christmas bazzar.
BMP Thanks for giving us the ruler. I can get started early.

What did you use for a star pattern?

matraina 10-25-2012 12:56 PM

You can buy them at Jenny Doan's Missouri Star Quilting Store. Here's a link:

That is a great tutorial. And thanks for the template measurements. Great information. Love this board.

matraina 10-25-2012 01:01 PM

Go online and do a search for a 6-pt. star graphic. You can adjust it to the size you need.

Jenny gave the website for the star and I downloaded it. I can't remember how I found it but I did save it. Here is a copy of it!

zennia 10-26-2012 03:31 AM

Oh no! I can't open it. Help!

sailsablazin 10-26-2012 04:33 AM

Well, I just ordered the template (I tend to misplace paper patterns). Hope that there are more things that I can make with this template. Anyone have any more ideas??

I will order templates if I can use them for other projects, this one however I really dont think I would and its a bit pricey for just a one project use. I made the paper template and took it to the home center to have it cut out of plexi !!! I dod that alot with templates it almost always less than a $1 to have them cut one...

Delta 10-26-2012 05:10 AM

wow thank you very much.

QuiltingMia 10-26-2012 05:37 AM

Sailsablazin: Here's another of Jenny's tutorials using the half hex ruler. Every single one of her tutorials are wonderful!
